Difaf Conducted an Environmental Impact Assessment for a nature-based constructed wetland wastewater treatment system in Saida. The assessment covers the proposed treatment of an informal wastewater channel and Awali River water sources, evaluating the environmental implications of the system design, storage ponds, and treated water reuse for public park irrigation. The EIA encompasses baseline environmental characterization, impact prediction and mitigation measures, and stakeholder engagement through community outreach sessions, ensuring the project meets environmental standards while promoting sustainable and green wastewater treatment practices.

Difaf was commissioned to carry out the Final External Quality Review of the eMasters in Water Resources Engineering (eMWRE) Project, representing WP 3 Leader, IHE-Delft. This thorough audit focused on evaluating management practices and their outcomes, rather than deeply analyzing the inherent quality of the master’s program. The goal was to provide a clear review of the project’s efficiency, task distribution and completion, and the effectiveness of management tools for ongoing supervision and communication.
